Eligibility Criteria
B.A./B.Sc. (T.D.C.) Part-1
Eligibility
(1) Senior Secondary Part 2 (10+2) Examination of Punjab School Education Board or
(2) Any other examination recognised by Punjab University as equivalent to examination (1) above.
Note: No Student who has passed the qualifying examination from Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna is to be admitted.
1. A person who has passed senior secondary part-2(10+2) examination from C.B.S.E. (Central Board of Secondary Education) New delhi but has failed in English subject shall have to clear the deficient subject in two consecutive chances subsequent to his/her admission, from the chances, his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
2. All those candidates who have passed +2 with english and four other subjects are eligible for admission to B.A. part 1.
3. Compartment candidates of +2 examination
A student who has been placed in compartment in one subject only at the +2 examination conducted by a recoganised board/body/Council/University in India/(as per booklet of Equivalence of Exams. and list circulated) and has obtained at least 20% marks in the subject in which he has been placed in the compartment be allowed to take admission to the 1st year of B.A./B.Sc. class to the following conditions:
a) In case student is seeking admission to B.A. 1st year class, he/she should have obtained at least 33% marks in aggregate of all the subjects (including the marks obtained by him/her in the subject of compartment( Theory & Practicals taken together) taken up by him/her at the +2 examination.
b) In case student is seeking the admission to the B.Sc. 1st year class, he/she should have obtained at least 40% marksnin the aggregate of all the subjects (including the marks obtained by him/her in the subject of the compartments (Theory and practicals taken together) taken by him/her at the +2 examination.
Compartment students at the +2 examination shall be allowed to have in the B.A./ B.Sc. first year class, the subject in which they have been placed under compartment, but there admission shall be confirmed only after they have cleared the consecutive chances subsequent to their admission, failing that they wil have to leave the course.
COMPARTMENT CANDDATES OF OTHER UNIVERSITIES:
A student of any other university who is placed in compartment in 1st year/2nd year of B.A./B.Sc. course is not allowed to join 2nd year/3rd year of Panjab University.
The candidates are, therefor, advised in their own interest to check and make sure that they are eligible for admission. The admission shall be at the sole risk and responsibility of the candidate and the college shall not be responsibility of the and the college shall not be responsible for any omission.
B.A./B.Sc. (T.D.C.) Part-2
Eligibility
Admission to B.A./B.Sc. 2class shall be open to a person who has passed B.A./B.Sc. Part 1 Examination if Panjab university from this college or any other examination recognised by the Panjab University as equivalent to its B.A./B.Sc. Part 1 Examination. B.Sc. 2nd year students will clear the Englih Compulsory subject in this class.
B.A./B.Sc. (T.D.C.) Part-3
Eligibility
Admission to B.A./B.Sc 3 class shall be open to a person who has passed B.A./B.Sc. part 2 Examination of Panjab University from this college or any other examination recognised by the Panjab University as equivalent to its B.A./B.Sc. Part 2 Examination.
Job Oriented Cources (Add on Courses)
Eligibility
Admission to Job Oriented Cources shall be open to students of BA/BSC. These additional cources are intented to help students get jobs.
Important Note :
Any such student as has completed his full term of the academic year of B.A. final year in this college and has failed to clear annual Examination will not be readmitted to B.A> final year or in B.A. 2nd year, if it is a reverse case in the next academic session. He is otherwise eligible rto appear in the university examination of B.A. 2 without undergoing a fresh course of instructions, in the capacity of late college student.
Regarding Migration :
Migration, if any, shall be allowed as per Panjab University rules and subject to the approval of the University.
Note :
Admission to outside candidates shall be given only if seats available. Elective subjects in B.Sc. Part 2 and Part 3 shall be the same as offered by the candidates in B.Sc. Part 1 examination.
